Ingredients

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  • In a bowl, mix 2 cups of Oreo crumbs with 1/4 cup of melted unsalted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of the pan and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool.

Making the cheesecake

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat 24 oz of softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1 cup of granulated sugar, mixing until well combined.
  • Add 1 cup of sour cream and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, blending until fully combined. Add 3 large eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in the 1 cup of melted dark chocolate until fully integrated, then gently fold in 1/2 cup of crushed Oreos.
  • Pour the cheesecake batter into the cooled crust and smooth the top.
  • Bake for approximately 60-70 minutes or until the center is set. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.
  • Transfer to the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Preparing the ganache and decoration

  • Heat 1 cup of dark chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
  • Drizzle the ganache over the cheesecake and decorate with whipped cream, dark chocolate shavings, Oreo cookies, and chocolate sprinkles.
