Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut the pears in half and remove the cores. Brush the cut surfaces with melted butter and honey.

Roasting

  • Place the prepared pear halves cut-side-up on a baking sheet. Roast them for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown and tender.

Making Cheese Filling

  • While the pears are roasting, combine blue cheese, softened cream cheese, honey, and black pepper in a bowl. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Toasting Walnuts

  • In a dry sauté pan, toast the chopped walnuts over medium heat for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Assembly

  • Once the pears are done roasting, carefully spoon the creamy cheese mixture into the center of each pear half.
  • Sprinkle the toasted walnuts over the filled pears, then drizzle with balsamic glaze and honey.
