Ingredients

Filling Ingredients

  • 8 oz lump crab meat (or imitation crab, chopped)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Dough Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp Everything Bagel seasoning (or sesame seeds & garlic flakes)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the lump crab meat with softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, mayonnaise, chopped chives, garlic powder, and Old Bay seasoning. Use salt and pepper to taste.

Assembly

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
  • On the wider end of each triangle, spoon a small dollop of the crab filling.
  • Roll the dough around the filling, starting from the wide end while tucking in the sides slightly to secure the filling.

Baking

  • Lightly brush each roll with the beaten egg to achieve a lovely golden finish.
  • Sprinkle Everything Bagel seasoning on top for an extra pop of flavor.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  • Once baked, let the rolls cool slightly before serving. They pair wonderfully with garlic butter or lemon aioli for dipping.

Notes

Make Ahead: Prepare the filling ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to a day before assembling the rolls. Extras such as panko breadcrumbs can add a crunch to the top.
