Preparation

  • In a large bowl, add the cherry Jello to the boiling water. Stir vigorously until the powdered gelatin fully dissolves, which should take about 2 minutes.
  • Mix in the cold water and let the mixture cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
  • Fold in the cranberry sauce, crushed pineapple, chopped apples, and nuts into the gelatin mixture. Stir well to evenly distribute all the ingredients.
  • Pour the mixture into a glass serving dish or mold, cover, and refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours or until it is fully set.
  • Serve chilled and, if desired, top with whipped cream or extra pecans.
