  • 1 small red chili (optional, for spice) Adds a nice kick.

Dipping Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white vinegar (for dipping) Pairs perfectly with salty fish.

  • 1 small red chili, sliced For color and flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp sugar (optional) Balances the vinegar's tartness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Rinse the dried fish briefly under running water to wash away excess saltiness. Pat the fish dry with a paper towel.

Cooking

  • Carefully add the dried fish to the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Transfer the cooked fish to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.

Dipping Sauce Preparation

  • In a small bowl, combine white vinegar, minced garlic, sliced chili, sugar, and salt. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes.

Serving
