  • 1/2 cup smooth mayonnaise Rich and creamy for the dip.
  • 1/4 cup tangy sour cream Balances the richness with acidity.
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley For a pop of color and freshness.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Brightens up the dip.
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced For an extra zing.

Instructions

Preparation of Mozzarella Sticks

  • In a shallow dish, mix flour, panko bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper together.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the beaten eggs and milk until smooth.
  • Take each mozzarella cube and dip it into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  • Roll the coated mozzarella in the flour mixture, pressing lightly to help the coating adhere.

Frying the Mozzarella Sticks

  • In a large skillet, heat about 1 inch of oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  • Carefully place the coated mozzarella cubes into the hot oil, frying them for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Once done, remove the fried mozzarella sticks and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to allow excess oil to drain.

Making the Creamy Dip

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, chopped parsley, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Cover the dip and refrigerate until you are ready to serve.

Serving

  • Arrange the crispy mozzarella sticks on a serving plate.
  • Serve them hot alongside the warmed marinara sauce and the chilled creamy dip.

Notes

Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to avoid greasy sticks. You may freeze prepared sticks before frying for later use.
