Ingredients

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the feta cheese into thick sticks, about 6-8 in total. Pat them dry gently with paper towels.
  • Set up a dredging station with separate bowls for flour, beaten egg, and a mixture of panko breadcrumbs and crushed pistachios.
  • Dip each feta stick into the flour, then egg, and finally coat with the panko-pistachio mixture.
  • Chill the coated feta sticks on a plate in the fridge for 15–20 minutes.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
  • Spray the coated sticks lightly with oil.
  • Place the feta sticks in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Cook for 6–8 minutes, turning halfway through until golden brown.

Hot Honey Drizzle

  • Warm the honey slightly and stir in chili flakes and a pinch of salt.

Serving

  • Drizzle the hot honey generously over the feta sticks. Optionally, sprinkle with more crushed pistachios and fresh herbs.

Notes

Pat dry the feta thoroughly before breading. Don't skip the chilling step to firm up the sticks. Adjust the spice level to taste.
