Ingredients

Tea Base

  • 2 cups water Fresh and clear, the foundation of your tea.
  • 1-2 cups fresh dandelion flowers Bright yellow and freshly plucked.
  • 1 tbsp dried dandelion root or dried leaves Earthy and grounding.

Instructions

For Fresh Flowers

  • Begin by boiling 2 cups of water in a pot.
  • Once boiling, remove it from the heat and add 1–2 cups of cleaned dandelion flowers.
  • Cover the pot and let the flowers steep in the hot water for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • After steeping, strain the tea using a fine mesh sieve or a cheesecloth.
  • Serve hot with a drizzle of honey or a squeeze of fresh lemon.

For Dried Root or Leaves

  • Place 1 tablespoon of dried dandelion root or leaves into a small pot with 2 cups of water.
  • Bring the water to a gentle simmer and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Strain the mixture through a sieve to remove the plant material.
  • Enjoy with optional sweeteners or a splash of lemon juice.
