Ingredients

Pistachio Filling

Phyllo Dough Preparation

  • 10 sheets phyllo dough (thawed) Light and crispy layers for the perfect texture.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted) Essential for brushing between layers.

Chocolate Dipping

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped chocolate Rich and delectable chocolate for dipping.
  • 1 tsp coconut oil Helps create a smooth chocolate coating.
  • crushed pistachios For garnish, adding a delightful crunch and visual appeal.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a food processor, combine the roasted pistachios, powdered sugar, and cardamom. Pulse until finely ground.
  • Gradually add honey and heavy cream, one tablespoon at a time, until the mixture forms a thick paste.

Layering Phyllo Dough

  • Lay one sheet of thawed phyllo on a clean surface. Brush with melted butter.
  • Layer a second sheet on top and brush it again with butter. Repeat this process with two more sheets for a total of four layers.

Folding

  • Cut the layered phyllo into long strips, about 3 inches wide.
  • Place 1 teaspoon of the pistachio filling at one end of each strip. Fold the phyllo dough over the filling to form a triangle, brushing each fold with butter as you go.
  • Continue folding to create a triangular shape, sealing the filling inside.

Baking

  • Place the filled triangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the phyllo bites for 18-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Let them cool completely.

Chocolate Dipping

  • Meanwhile, melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil together in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler until smooth.
  • Dip the corners or half of each triangle into the melted chocolate, then sprinkle with crushed pistachios.
  • Allow the chocolate to set on parchment paper for a gorgeous finish.

Notes

Keep unused phyllo sheets covered with a damp towel to prevent them from drying out. Feel free to substitute pistachios with other nuts for a different flavor profile. Serve these bites at room temperature for the best experience.
