Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut the pears in half and scoop out the cores carefully. Place the pear halves cut side up on a baking sheet.

Filling and Stuffing

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled blue cheese, chopped walnuts, and honey.
  • Generously fill each pear half with the cheese mixture, pressing it in gently.

Baking

  • Drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the stuffed pears and sprinkle with ground black pepper.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until the pears are soft and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Once out of the oven, drizzle extra honey on top and garnish with fresh thyme.

Notes

Choose ripe but firm pears for the best result. Consider substituting walnuts with pecans or almonds if desired. Can prepare pears and stuffing ahead of time and refrigerate them separately.
