Ingredients

For the Burrata Bomb

  • 200 g cherry tomatoes (halved) Foundation of the spicy tomato jam.
  • 2 tbsp sugar Balances the acidity of the tomatoes.
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar Adds a tangy depth.
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes Introduces a gentle heat.
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder Adds earthiness.

Instructions

Make the Spicy Tomato Jam

  • Combine halved cherry tomatoes, sugar, apple cider vinegar, red chili flakes, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt in a medium saucepan.
  • Over medium heat, bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Prepare the Burrata Bomb

  • Pat the burrata dry with a paper towel and place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
  • Mix panko breadcrumbs with everything bagel seasoning until well combined.
  • Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and seasoned panko.
  • Roll the chilled burrata in flour, dip in egg, then coat in panko.
  • Return the burrata to the freezer for another 10 minutes.

Fry the Burrata Bomb

  • Heat neutral oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).
  • Carefully lower the coated burrata into the oil and fry for 45-60 seconds until golden brown.
  • Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Place the burrata bomb on a plate with a dollop of warm spicy tomato jam.
  • Pair with toasted sourdough or bagel chips.

Notes
