Ingredients

Pasta

  • 12 ounces linguine Cooked to al dente perfection, soft yet with a bit of a bite.

Steak

  • 1 pound sirloin steak Tender and flavorful, ideal for searing.

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter Rich and creamy, the base for the sauce.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh and aromatic.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream For that luscious creaminess.
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Enhances the depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Adds warmth and spice.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt To enhance all the flavors.
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes For a gentle kick of heat.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by cooking the linguine in a generous pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Once done, drain and set aside.
  • In a large pan over medium-high heat, melt the butter.
  • Add the sirloin steak, seasoning it generously with salt and pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until perfectly browned. Remove the steak from the pan, let it rest, then slice into thin strips.

Sauce Preparation

  • In the same pan, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, stirring until it begins to thicken.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper flakes, allowing the cheese to melt into the sauce.

Combining

  • Add the cooked linguine to the pan with the sauce, tossing well to coat each strand evenly.
  • Arrange the slices of steak on top, and serve warm.

Notes

To elevate the dish, consider using garlic-infused butter or marinating the steak beforehand. For variation, try adding vegetables like spinach or broccoli, or swap linguine for zucchini noodles or whole wheat pasta.
