Optional Toppings

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large pot, add the ground beef over medium heat. Cook for 6–8 minutes until browned. Drain excess grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the pot for flavor.
  • Add the chopped onion to the pot, cooking for 3–4 minutes until soft and translucent. Stir in the minced garlic, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.

Cooking

  • Pour in the beef broth, milk, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  • Stir in the uncooked elbow macaroni and let it cook for 8–10 minutes. Stir occasionally until the macaroni is tender.
  • Reduce heat to low. Gradually add the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, stirring continuously until fully melted and creamy.
  • If the soup feels too thick, thin it out with extra beef broth or milk as needed. Taste the soup and season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  • Ladle the soup into bowls and top with your choice of crushed potato chips, parsley, or extra cheese.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using a touch of smoked paprika or jalapeño for a kick. Feel free to mix in your favorite vegetables like bell peppers or corn for additional color and nutrition. Always taste before serving; adjusting seasoning can significantly impact the soup's final flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. To reheat, simply warm it on low heat, adding a splash of broth or milk to restore its creamy consistency.
