Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). In an ovenproof skillet or a deep baking dish, combine the orzo, minced garlic, optional chili flakes, oregano, smoked paprika, and sun-dried tomatoes.
  • Add the tomato paste and pour in the broth, stirring to combine.

Baking

  • Center a block of feta cheese amid the orzo mixture. Drizzle olive oil over the top and cover the dish with foil. Bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the foil, pour in the heavy cream, and stir gently. Return to the oven uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.

Serving

  • Stir the dish to evenly distribute flavors and season with salt and pepper as needed. Top with freshly chopped herbs and optional lemon zest or chili flakes.
  • Spoon the warm orzo into bowls and serve with crusty bread on the side.

Notes

Use high-quality feta cheese for the best flavor. Add more vegetables like spinach for extra nutrition.
