Ingredients

For the matcha swirl

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.

For the crust

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a solid base.
  • Bake for 10 minutes and let it cool.

For the cheesecake filling

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  • Gradually add in the granulated sugar and mix well.
  • Beat in sour cream and vanilla extract.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, allowing each to blend before adding the next.
  • Incorporate the matcha powder and gently fold in the crushed Oreos.

For the matcha swirl

  • In a small bowl, blend the matcha powder, sugar, and hot water to achieve a smooth consistency.

Assembly

  • Pour the cream cheese batter into the cooled Oreo crust.
  • Drizzle the matcha swirl mixture on top and use a toothpick to create swirls.

Bake your cheesecake

  • Place the cheesecake in the oven and bake for 60-70 minutes.
  • When edges are lightly browned and center is set, turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for an hour.

Chill the cheesecake

  • Once cooled, cover the cheesecake and refrigerate for at least four hours, or overnight.

Decorate

  • Carefully remove the cheesecake from the springform pan and top with whipped cream, matcha powder, and crushed Oreo cookies.
