Ingredients

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the mozzarella sticks into bite-sized pieces if desired.
  • Prepare three bowls: one filled with flour, another with beaten eggs mixed with milk, and the last with breadcrumbs.

Breading

  • Roll each mozzarella piece in the flour, dip in the egg mixture, then coat with breadcrumbs. For extra crunch, repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating.

Freezing

  • Lay the coated cheese bites on a tray and freeze for about 30 minutes.

Frying

  • Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  • Carefully fry the cheese bites in small batches for about 1–2 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Serving

  • Serve hot with dipping sauces.

Notes

Add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, or cayenne to the breadcrumbs for added flavor. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for a healthier option.
