Flatbread Base

Toppings

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure the flatbread will bake evenly.
  • Place the store-bought flatbread or pizza dough on a baking sheet and brush it with 1 tbsp of olive oil.
  • Lay the thinly sliced pear evenly over the flatbread.
  • Scatter the crumbled Gorgonzola cheese and chopped walnuts on top of the pears.

Baking and Serving

  • Slide the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  • In a small bowl, toss the arugula with the remaining 1 tbsp of olive oil, along with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Once the flatbread is done baking, remove it from the oven and sprinkle the dressed arugula over the warm flatbread.
  • Drizzle balsamic glaze over the top, slice into pieces, and serve warm.

Notes

Consider adding crushed red pepper flakes or fresh herbs like thyme for additional flavor. Optional variations include different cheeses or using whole wheat flatbread.
