Ingredients

For the Cream

  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pistachio paste Use high-quality for best flavor.

For the Assembly

  • 20-24 pieces ladyfinger cookies
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons pistachio liqueur Optional, for enhanced flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped pistachios For garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until soft peaks form. Set it aside.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the softened mascarpone cheese, pistachio paste, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the whipped cream until fully incorporated.
  • In a small bowl, mix the cooled coffee with pistachio liqueur, if using.
  • Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and arrange a layer in the bottom of your serving dish.
  • Spread a thick layer of the pistachio mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  • Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and finish with a layer of cream.
  • Refrigerate for at least four hours, or overnight.
  • Just before serving, dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.

Notes

Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. For a hint of sweetness, consider drizzling honey on top before serving. Let the dessert chill for optimal taste and texture.
