Ingredients

For the pastry

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the puff pastry sheet to ensure evenness and cut it into wide strips.
  • Arrange the strips into a circular ring shape on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, sealing the ends together.
  • Brush the pastry with the beaten egg and sprinkle with smoked paprika.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Making the Avocado Spread

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed avocados, lime juice, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Cooking the Shrimp

  • Heat a pan over medium-high heat and drizzle with olive oil. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn rosy and are cooked through.
  • Add smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, and salt while cooking.

Assembling the Dish

  • Spread the avocado mixture generously over the baked puff pastry crown.
  • Arrange the cooked shrimp on top and sprinkle with fresh parsley and additional red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes
