  • 1 cup ice cubes Enhances the cooling effect.
  • to taste Lemon and peach slices, for garnish Adds aesthetic appeal to your drink.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, combine the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of water. Simmer over medium heat for about 8–10 minutes, until the peaches soften and release their juices.
  • Once the peaches are cooled slightly, transfer them to a blender and blend until smooth. Strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve if desired.
  • In a large pitcher, mix the peach puree with the lemon juice and honey (or sugar). Stir until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
  • Add 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher, stirring to combine. Add ice cubes to chill the drink instantly.
  • Pour the lemonade into glasses, garnishing each with peach and lemon slices.

Notes

Choose the ripest peaches for maximum sweetness. Add mint leaves for an herbal twist, or substitute some water for sparkling water for a fizzy variation. Chill glasses in the freezer before serving.
