Instructions

Marinate the Steak

Cook the Veggies

  • Melt 2 tablespoons of butter with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat in a large pan.
  • Add sliced carrots, zucchini, and mushrooms to the pan. Stir often for 10–15 minutes until tender and golden. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • Set the cooked vegetables aside.

Sear the Steak

  • In the same pan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add marinated steak chunks and sear for 3–4 minutes until cooked through and browned.
  • Pour in teriyaki or BBQ sauce, tossing to coat the steak evenly.

Serve It Up

  • Plate the savory steak and sautéed veggies together, serving with fried rice and drizzling with Yum Yum Sauce.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the steak longer if you have time. Adjust garlic or ginger to your taste. A cast-iron skillet is great for searing.
