Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the chopped fresh strawberries evenly over the batter.
  • In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Drop dollops of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter and gently swirl with a knife.
  • Spoon dollops of the strawberry pie filling over the top and lightly swirl again.

Baking

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until edges are golden and center is set.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberries before serving.

Notes

Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor. Frozen strawberries can be substituted but should be thawed and drained.
