Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds steak (sirloin or tenderloin), cut into small cubes Provides juicy and tender bites.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Adds a luscious, velvety texture to the sauce.
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese Brings sharp, nutty flavor to the sauce.
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided Adds richness and depth.
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder Infuses warm garlic flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley For garnish and fresh flavor.
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper Adds gentle heat.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Provides pungent, aromatic qualities.
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt Necessary seasoning.
  • 0.25 teaspoon onion powder Contributes warmth and sweetness.
  • pinch red pepper flakes (optional) For a slight kick.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Melt 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter in a hot skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the steak cubes, season generously with salt and black pepper, and sear until browned, about 4–5 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, reduce heat slightly, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, and cook the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream while stirring and add the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until sauce thickens.
  • Return the seared steak to the skillet, mixing to coat evenly in the sauce and heat through for an additional 1–2 minutes.

Serving

  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, rest the steak for a few minutes before cutting. You can add sautéed vegetables for more nutrition or use half-and-half for a lighter version. This dish is very versatile and can accommodate various proteins or cheese types for different flavor profiles.
