For the Sauce

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup unsalted butter Use for a creamy base.
  • 1 cup 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Can substitute with other cheeses like mozzarella or gouda.

For Garnish

  • Chopped green onions and parsley For garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by seasoning your chicken chunks with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  • Heat a bit of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken in batches and sear until golden brown and cooked through, approximately 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt the unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in the chicken broth, scraping up any brown bits stuck to the pan.
  • Gently pour in the heavy cream, followed by the lemon juice and dried thyme. If using, stir in the cayenne pepper. Let the mixture simmer for about 3-5 minutes.

Combining Chicken and Sauce

  • Return the seared chicken chunks to the skillet and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch with cold water in a separate bowl and stir it into the skillet, letting it cook until thickened.

Serve

  • Finish with a sprinkle of chopped parsley and green onions. Serve hot with your favorite side.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken in lemon juice and spices beforehand. Adjust cayenne pepper for desired heat and try different cheese variations.
