  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Heart-healthy oil that adds richness and depth.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For aromatic kick.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Adds subtle sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika For smokiness and color.
  • 4 tablespoons butter Creamy and decadent.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing garlic.
  • 2 pieces lemons Juice and zest for brightness.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adds wonderful aroma.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped For freshness and color.
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste Essential seasonings to round out flavors.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the seasoned fish for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and flaky. Remove and set aside.
  • Lower the heat to medium, add butter and additional olive oil to the skillet. Once melted, stir in minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add the juice and zest of two lemons and chopped parsley, seasoning with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.

Serving

  • Place the cooked fish on a serving plate and pour the zesty lemon butter sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley or lemon slices if desired.

Notes

Ensure your skillet is hot before cooking for a nice sear. Experiment with white fish varieties or add red pepper flakes for heat.
